The Section 1 kick-off was the perfect venue for the North Salem athletes to begin their season. The hard work and dedication the team has exhibited over the past 4 weeks enabled them to set several personal records, take home 11 medals and set another school record.
Noemie Bechu officially broke the 26 year old school record in the 600 meters on Sunday as she ran the race for the first time. This is Noemie's 6th record recorded since 2011. The highlights from the meet are below...

The story of the freshmen/sophomore meet is one of great determination and spirit. All of the athletes who competed were excited, nervous, and not exactly sure what to expect. Their hard work and determination is what carried them through the night. Although they were nervous, they ran extremely well. What was most impressive, is the fact that each one of them finished all of their races with tremendous kicks. The frosh/soph team is a group of young people with unlimited potential.
