Jurkowski and Williams motivate team to set new Goals!!!

Will Jurkowski (Class of 04) and Katie Williams were guest speakers at the team's practice on Monday. Will and Katie gave a few moments of their time....the North Salem Winter Track team gained the opportunity of a lifetime. Both of the speakers are tremendously decorated collegiate and post collegiate runners. What they provided for the team on Monday was as motivational as it was informational. Will spoke about his personal experiences which mirrored the team's core principles of respect, dedication and hardwork while providing goal setting tips. Katie spoke about her personal experiences which touched upon the joy of running and the benefits of training hard and developing confidence. We would like to thank both Will and Katie for coming to Monday's practice. Their words will be forever remembered by those who were in attendance.

Below please leave a comment stating your goal for the season as far as your event(s) are concerned. Please leave any general comments regarding what Will and Katie spoke about on Monday.

50% Heart 50% Hard Work....NS displays both at Kick-Off

The North Salem Winter Track team hit the ground running yesterday as they competed in their 1st meet of the season. From Veterans to first time Freshman walking into the Armory is an experience in and of itself. Although the Armory can be intimidating the team worked so hard in practice which enabled them to face the challenge head on. The hard work and the team's heart, determination, and will to win thrived on Sunday. PR's were set and medals were won. We took our first step towards the mountain that we will climb and conquer this season. Coach Minzloff and Coach Holst are proud of each of every one of the athletes who competed on Sunday.
